GCS mission statement

"Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered education that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit of each student. GCS is dedicated to discipleship and a culture that reflects Christ which allows students to grow both academically and in their relationship with the Lord.”

our Philosophy

As a ministry of Bible Baptist Church of Goshen, GCS is committed to being Christ centered and Bible based.  We strive to develop and maintain a culture that aids each student in their academic and spiritual growth.  We believe culture reflects in the lives of the students for years to come.  GCS is dedicated to housing a culture of encouragement, discipleship, and academic excellence.  We use two styles of teaching.  Traditional and virtual.

our Curriculum

GCS partners with Abeka for all our curriculum.  Abeka is internationally recognized and utilized.  Students who use the Abeka curriculum have proven to test high on the ACT’s and SAT’s.  This curriculum can also be modified to suit each individual student.  More information about the Abeka curriculum can be found on their website.

GCS Staff

The GCS staff are courteous, professional and have a heart for kids and teens. We require on-going training for our staff through continuing education classes administered by the state of OH, orientation videos, and in-house training. All our staff members are trained in First Aid and CPR. To ensure a safe and nurturing environment, all GCS employees have undergone a background check and fingerprinting by the state.

Our Fine Arts program consists of art, choir, music theory, instrument, and drama. Those participating will have the opportunity to perform in 2 dramas per year and two choir concerts per year.  The art class will also have the opportunity to host an art show for the community, family, and friends.

security

Security is our top priority.  Secretaries and Administers are in constant surveillance of the property.  Unidentified cars are met by a school administrator in the parking lot before they reach the school building as extra precaution.  All exterior doors and windows are locked throughout the school day.  No one is permitted to enter the school building without permission from the school administration.
